Therapeutic Approach: Shanya incorporates a hands-on approach (manual therapy) in conjunction with appropriate exercises in the rehabilitation of all injuries to restore balance in the body. She pulls from a variety of backgrounds, including McKenzie, Postural Restoration Institute, SFMA and Mulligan, to name a few, as well as incorporating techniques from her background in yoga. Most recently she has begun study in the rehabilitation of diastis recti which is a separation of the rectus abdominis muscle which can occur after pregnancy. Therapy interests or specialties: All aspects of general outpatient orthopedics and care of orthopedic problems after pregnancy.
